Ethertronics, a developer and manufacturer of high performance internal antennas for personal and industrial wireless devices, today announced a sales agreement with Professional Computer Technology Limited (PCT Ltd.) of Taiwan. PCT Ltd., a premier computer component retailer, will market Ethertronics' patented antenna technology to computer and handset manufacturers in Taiwan.

PCT Ltd. will sell Ethertronics' entire product portfolio, which includes several lines of internal antennas for the wireless LAN, cellular, GPS and Bluetooth™ markets as well as its newly announced MPCI mini-PCI antenna module designed for notebook computers. Ethertronics' internal antennas offer significant integration advantages to hardware original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), including:

• Superior performance and isolation

• Improved range, data throughput and battery life

• Compact footprint and volume

• Semi-standard designs for cost-effective integration

• Decreased Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) measurements

THT Market Intelligence, a Taiwanese-based research firm, reported this year that Taiwanese companies own the lion's share of the global notebook computer manufacturing business Ð with more than 60% of notebooks sold world-wide manufactured in Taiwan. Taiwan's notebook makers are used by major multi-national corporations and smaller dealers alike for their notebook outsourcing needs. In addition, Taiwanese firms rank as the world's largest suppliers of critical computer components such as screens, microprocessors, hubs, modems, LAN cards, keyboards, monitors, scanners, motherboards and power supplies. "Taiwan has clearly played a dominant role in the PC manufacturing industry for the past few decades," commented Champion Chou, vice president of sales for PCT Ltd.
