Ethertronics, the internal (embedded) antenna technology leader for wireless devices, today announced it has appointed Rick Segil as its new vice president of marketing. Segil brings 20 years of experience in digital video, wireless and broadband communications to Ethertronics. Segil will be responsible for marketing, public relations, strategy and business development.

Before joining Ethertronics, Segil worked as VP of Marketing for Path1 Networks, a Video over IP gateway equipment provider for the broadcast television industry. Previously, he worked as a strategic business development consultant for several high-technology companies including Solectron and Instromedix. Additionally, Segil has held various marketing, business development and general management positions with Gateway Computer, IP3 Networks, Leap Wireless, ViaSat and General Instrument (now Motorola Broadband). Segil holds a BA in Physics and Economics from Claremont McKenna College.
